Samantha opens up about her mental health struggles for the first time!

Actress Samantha is making headlines quite often and now she has shared about her battle with depression. The actress was invited as the chief guest for the launch of the 'Psychiatry at your doorstep' initiative of Roshini Trust and Datla Foundation.

Speaking at the event, The 'There' actress said, "There should be no inhibitions about seeking help when you are mentally disturbed. In my case, I was able to overcome my mental health issues only with the help of my counsellors and friends."

The actress also stressed the point that seeking help from psychiatrists must be normalised. "Like how we go to a doctor for physical injuries, we also should consult doctors if our heart gets hurt", she said.

Post this, Samantha shared some inspirational quotes about strength and beauty from the book Big Panda and Tiny Dragan. The quote read “That tree has been through some rough times, said Tiny Dragon. ‘Yes’ said Big Panda, ‘but it’s still here and it has gained strength and beauty.” Another quote articulated, “ What if I meet people who don’t like me or the things I do? asked Tiny Dragon. ‘You must walk your own path,’ said Big Panda. ‘Better to lose them than lose yourself.’”

Samantha was last seen in the movie, Pushpa: The rise. Apart from this she has a slew of projects lined up for her including Kaathu Vaakula Rendu Kaadhal, Shaakuntalam, and Yashoda.
