We’ve seen several actors turn producers to support films featuring others. However, actor Nani stands out by using his banner, Wall Poster Cinema, to promote fresh talent and innovative storytelling. Movies like Awe, HIT, HIT 2, Court, and HIT 3 reflect his refined taste as a producer. Now, actress Samantha is following a similar path with her production house, Tralala Productions.
Samantha’s first production under Tralala Productions, titled Shubham, is set to hit theaters on May 9. Sharing her vision, Samantha said she is passionate about cinema, both as an actress and a producer. She aims to support new stories and filmmakers through her banner. “I want to tell stories that connect with everyone and offer a platform for others to do the same,” she stated.
Shubham is a horror-comedy set in Vizag and stars upcoming young actors. If successful, Samantha might continue producing similar small-scale films and encourage more new talent. Earlier this year, Nani scored a box office hit with Court, a low-budget film with newcomers. Shubham has the potential to mirror that success.
It’s refreshing to see stars like Nani and Samantha backing fresh talent and experimental stories. With their success, other popular actors might also invest in supporting creativity and new voices in the film industry.
