Samantha Pushes New Boundaries with Power-Packed Action Role in ‘Maa Inti Bangaram’

Actor-producer-entrepreneur Samantha Ruth Prabhu is currently shooting for her ambitious next production venture Maa Inti Bangaram, a project that is being described as one of the most physically demanding and defining performances of her career. Produced under her banner Tralala Moving Pictures, in association with producing partners Raj Nidimoru and Himank Duvvuru, the film positions Samantha at the centre of a raw, emotionally charged action narrative.

What makes Maa Inti Bangaram particularly striking is Samantha’s commitment to authenticity. The actor reportedly performs most of her action and stunt sequences herself, with minimal use of body doubles. Adding to the visual impact, she executes these intense sequences wearing a saree—a rare and powerful choice that transforms the traditional symbol of grace into an emblem of strength and resilience on screen.

After showcasing her action credentials in acclaimed series like The Family Man and Citadel, Samantha is now pushing herself further with a role that blends high-impact action with a deeply Indian aesthetic. Sources close to the project reveal that the actor was keen to surpass her previous action work and embrace a challenge that demanded both physical endurance and visual novelty.

The film is backed by a strong technical team that enhances its scale and cinematic ambition. Cinematographer Om Prakash brings a dynamic visual language, while music composer Santhosh Narayanan adds emotional weight and intensity. International action director Lee Whittaker choreographs grounded, impactful stunt sequences, complemented by production designer Ullas Hydur. Costumes by Pallavi Singh play a crucial role in enabling action while maintaining cultural authenticity.

Directed by Nandini Reddy, with Raj Nidimoru serving as the film’s creative force, Maa Inti Bangaram blends emotion, action, and spectacle, reflecting Samantha’s evolving vision as a producer focused on bold, story-driven cinema.

Summing up the film’s intent, producer Himank Duvvuru noted that the project is rooted in strong emotions and values, yet mounted with the scale and energy of a full-fledged action spectacle. Samantha performing most of the action herself—especially in a saree—adds a rare authenticity that sets the film apart.

With Maa Inti Bangaram, Samantha Ruth Prabhu continues to redefine strength, spectacle, and storytelling, reinforcing her position as one of the most fearless and forward-thinking creative forces in contemporary Indian cinema.
