Samantha has shed her iron leg tag in Tamil with 'Kaththi'. This film, starring Vijay in the lead, has set the cash registers ringing at the box office and Samantha has become one of the sought after heroines there.
Vijay is currently acting in a film titled 'Puli' and his next will be directed by 'Raja Rani' fame Atlee. Buzz is that Vijay has suggested Samantha's name for the leading lady role in the movie. Nayantara was first considered as the lead actress in the film, but she is said to have opted out of the project as she couldn't adjust the dates.
'I' fame Amy Jackson is being considered as the other heroine. Samantha is also acting opposite Vijay in a movie, which is being directed by 'Goli Soda' fame Vijay Milton.
