A clarification on Samantha's part in the bilingual biopic on Savithri

A biopic on yesteryear female superstar Savithri has been on the cards for almost a year now. The names of leading young heroines Samantha and Nithya Menen were being linked with this project for quite a while.

We learn from reliable sources that Samantha will be a part of this biopic, but she does not play Savithri. Instead, she will be cast as the character from whose point of view, the story is narrated.

The girl who will be playing Savitri's character is yet to be finalised. The makers are in talks with a few actresses, including Nithya Menen and Vidya Balan.

The film will be made as a Tamil-Telugu bilingual and it will be directed by Nag Ashwin
