Sundar C is playing the lead role in the remake of yesteryear Rajinikanth hit 'Murattu Kaalai'. The new version titled the same features Sneha in the role played by Rathi, while Vivek dons the role enacted by Surulirajan and Suman in Jai Shankar's character.

Directed by Selvabharathy, 'Murattu Kaalai' went to the floors recently with stunt sequences being shot at Sengottai. The latest according to the crew of the movie is that Samiksha of 'Arindhum Ariyamalum' will play the second heroine.

Search for the role played by Sumalatha is on. Eventually, they zeroed in on Samiksha. The latter is awaiting the release of 'Karthigai'. Recently, she was axed from the movie 'Rajathi Raja', directed by Sakthi Chidambaram, in which Ragava Larencce plays the lead role.
