Samuthirakani who has grabbed National Award for his phenomenal performance in Visaaranai`, has directed a film named Appa` in which he plays the lead.

Appa`, a Isaignani Ilayaraja musical is touted to deal with a father`s contribution in his child`s education and future.

Now we have learnt that the film has been censored with a clean U` certificate. Appa` is all set to hit the silver screens by this summer, likely after the Tamil Nadu assembly elections.
