Despite getting mixed reviews from critics, director Samuthirakani's 'Appa' has struck the right chord with the people mainly for the treasure of topical messages it carried. The film is mainly being hailed by those struggling for a change in our Education system and also in the way people's perception on upbringing of a child.

Already into the hit zone, the theaters screening the flick are being thronged by school students, parents and also teachers. Many theaters across Tamil Nadu are offering tickets at a concessional rate to these group of audiences.

Yesterday the Headmaster of a school in Gobichettipalayam had sent a circular addressing the parents of all the children of his school urging them to watch 'Appa' in the theater it is being screened now and he has also requested them to do it soon as it will be removed this Friday. The HM has said that every 'Appa (Father) should watch this 'Appa'. The letter also mentions that the school students will get tickets at a concessional rate.

This is proof enough that Samuthirakani has phenomenally succeeded in his ambition of creating the awareness on various issues concerning children of our society.

IndiaGlitz congratulates Samuthirakani for that and we expect more such socially relevant films like 'Appa' to come from him.
