Breaking ! Samuthirakani joins 'Indian 2'

Shankar's 'Indian 2' has resumed shooting after several months of unexpected delays and is going on in full swing. The mega flick produced by Lyca Productions has Kamal Haasan reprising the role of Octogenarian freedom fighter Senapathy from the original 'Indian' released in 1996.
It has just been revealed that Samuthirakani has joined the ensemble star cast of 'Indian 2' which already boasts of Kajal Agarwal, Rakul Preet, Siddharth, Aishwarya Rajesh, Priya Bhavani Shankar and Vidyut Jamwal. It is said that the actor-director will be playing a crucial character that appears in the flashback portions of the film and involves a younger Kamal during the pre-independence period. Samuthirakani apart from his directing assignments has signed many biggies including S.S. Rajamouli's 'RRR' and Allu Arjun's untitled film directed by Trivikram.
Music for 'Indian 2' is by Anirudh, cinematography by R.D. Rajasekhar and production design by T. Muthuraj. The release has been planned for April 2021.
