Actor and director Samuthirakani was seen on screens this year in movies like Peranbu, Pettikadai and recently in the Jyothika starrer Jackpot and last played lead role in the long delayed movie Kolanji produced by Moodar Koodam director Naveen.

Now his next movie in lead role has announced its release date. Samuthirakani will next be seen in a lead role in Adutha Saattai, the sequel to his 2012 hit movie Saattai which was directed by Anbazhagan. While the first part was set in school, this part is set in a college backdrop reportedly.

Adutha Saattai is also directed by Anbazhagan, and besides Samuthirakani also stars Thambi Ramaiah, Yuvan, Athulya Ravi, Rajshri Ponnappa and many others, and has music by Justin Prabhakaran. The theatrical rights of the movie has been bagged by Libra productions and Adutha Saattai will release on September 5.
