Director and actor Samuthirakani was last seen as the lead in Kolanji directed by Dhanaram Saravanan and had also appeared in a supporting role in Jyothika, Revathi starrer Jackpot released recently. The actor will be seen next in Adutha Saattai.

Adutha Saattai is the sequel to the 2012 film Saattai and this movie which also stars Thambi Ramaiah, Athulya Ravi, Yuvan and Rajshri Ponnappa has music by Justin Prabhakaran and is directed by M Anbazhagan who had directed Saattai.

Adutha Saattai is produced by 11:11 productions and recently it was said that Libra Productions has got the TN rights of the movie and will release it on September 5, but yesterday, Samuthirakani had tweeted no honesty and then tweeted there is no connection between Libra Productions and Adutha Saattai. Following this Libra productions had tweeted that there is no connection with the movie except the 50 lakhs they had given to the movie team, and that they believe the team will return the money honestly.
