Samy's next film 'Sarithiram'

Silambattam, the traditional game of Tamilians is the inspiration for director Samy's next film. The film titled 'Sarithiram' is about the bravery of a Silambattam artist and will start the shooting on June 15 in Podhigai Malai which is famous for this ancient traditional sport.
Film maker Samy whose last film was 'Mirugam' has roped in actor Rajkiran to play the title role while he has retained Aathi, the Telugu actor from 'Mirugam' who will be seen as Rajkiran's son in this new movie.
The heroine of the movie is has not been fixed yet
According to the grapevine the producer of 'Sarithiram' S N Raja of ITI Films wanted Padmapriya who played the female lead in 'Mirugam' to be the heroine in this film too but she is not keen to take up the role.
Kalabhavan Mani, Karunas and Ganja Karuppu are some of the other actors in important roles.
