Sanam Shetty Speaks Out on Casting Couch Controversy in Tamil Cinema

Actress and former Bigg Boss contestant Sanam Shetty has taken to social media to express her strong views regarding the recent controversy surrounding actress Shruti Narayanan. Shruti’s alleged audition video has gone viral, sparking intense discussions online.
In her video, Sanam Shetty urged people not to share or watch such videos, stating, “If you come across the leaked video, delete it immediately. Watching it with ill intent will only bring regret and guilt.”
She further criticized the dark side of the film industry, saying, “If you want a film opportunity, you are forced to compromise. This is a disgusting reality. People claiming to be managers of top directors exploit aspiring actresses through video calls, making inappropriate demands.”
Sanam questioned the morality of the industry, asking, “How many women will be manipulated under the pretense of auditions? How many tears will be shed for the success of a few?”
She also pointed out the nepotism in cinema, where star kids automatically get opportunities while newcomers, especially women, face exploitation. “Those of us who refuse to ‘adjust’ are denied opportunities,” she added.
Regarding Shruti Narayanan’s viral video, Sanam acknowledged that Shruti has denied its authenticity, stating it was generated using AI. However, she urged Shruti to file an official complaint to seek justice.
Concluding her emotional statement, Sanam called for a clean-up of the Tamil film industry, demanding respect and fair opportunities for actresses based on their talent. “Protect us. Respect us as women and artists. Let’s focus on talent rather than scandals,” she asserted.
