Sanjay Manjrekar is back in the news again and this time it’s not because of something he said. The former Indian and English cricketer were having a conversation on Twitter, but suddenly it looks like things took a turn for the worse. It all started when Manjrekar made a comment about Ravindra Jadeja calling him a “bits and pieces player.’ This prompted Jadeja to respond saying, “I have heard enough of your verbal diarrhoea.” The issue would have probably died down there, but then entered Michael Vaughan.

Manjrekar went on to predict the Indian team for the semifinals and he had included Jadeja in it. Vaughan who noticed this was quick to point out that he had picked the “bits and pieces cricketer.” Manjrekar had responded to this saying: “‘Predicted’ my dear Vaughan...not ‘my’ team. ??” If you thought the issue ended there, it did not.

Vaughan had been making continuous references to Manjrekar’s comment in yesterday’s match. First, he tweeted: “Bits & pieces time ... !! #CWC19.” Jadeja took 1 wicket a crucial point in the game and he only gave 34 runs in his 10 overs. Vaughan took another dig at Manjrekar saying: “Bloody hell Bits & Piece can Spin it .... #CWC19.” And that was the end of their conversations on Twitter. Soon after that Manjrekar blocked Vaughan who obviously needed to make it known to the world. He said: “BREAKING NEWS .. I have been blocked by @sanjaymanjrekar .. !!! #CWC19.”

He also posted a picture of having been blocked and said: “My life is now sorted !!!! #OnOn.” After a couple of hours, he put up another picture that seems to be taunting Manjrekar, saying: “Come on Sanjay unblock me on Twitter ... It’s only Bantz ... !!!! #India.” It seems highly unlikely that Manjrekar will talk to Vaughan again. Looks like both of them got the taste of their own medicine, one more than the other.
