Actor Santhanam is awaiting the release of his next movie A1 directed by Johnson, and the movie is releasing next week. With the satellite rights of the film sold to Sun network for a huge price, the team is upbeat about the commercial success of the movie.

While he was also shooting for another movie Dagaalty directed by Vijay Anand in Mumbai, Santhanam will start working on his new untitled movie which will be directed by Kannan, from August. Santhanam and Kannan had earlier worked in Jayam Kondaan, Kanden Kadhalai, Vandhaan Vendran and Settai.

It has been learnt that Santhanam will be playing an action hero in this rural movie, and hence is training in Silambam from Stunt Silva who is the action choreographer of this movie. This movie will be shot in Ambasamudram and Tirunelveli and will have a social message.
