Comedian-turned-hero Santhanam starrer 'Agent Kannayiram', directed by Manoj Beedha (Vanjagar Ulagam fame), is gearing up for a theatrical release in November. The detective comedy thriller film is the Tamil remake of the sleeper hit Telugu flick 'Agent Sai Srinivas Athreya'.

The team launched the Agent Kannayiram teaser earlier in January on Santhanam's birthday. It gained much attention for its unique brand of humour. A few days ago, the movie's shooting was wrapped and a BTS-making video was released by the makers. Now, the first single 'Theme of Kannayiram' from the album landed on the internet.

The little maestro Yuvan Shankar Raja composed the musical score for Agent Kannayiram. He has delivered a scintillating English theme song with an international flavour. The music video shows Santa as a 'Sherlock Holmes' style private detective with Cooku with Comali fame Pugazh playing his sidekick. The movie is produced by Labyrinth Films.

The star cast of 'Agent Kannayiram' comprises Santhanam, Riya Suman, Pugazh, Munishkanth, Redin Kingsley, E Ramdas, Indhumathy, Madhan Dhakshinamoorthy, Aadhira. Theni Eashwar and Saravanan Ramasamy are handling the cinematography with editing by Ajay and action choreography by Stunner Sam.
