Actor Santhanam is playing the lead in the upcoming film 'DD Next Level' directed by Prem Anand. In a recent promotional interview, he was asked about his previous film 'All in All Azhaguraja', which failed at the box office. Santhanam revealed that he had predicted the film’s failure even before shooting began.

He explained that the film's main plot revolved around a character named Kareena Chopra, who is doubted by the heroine and desired by the villain. Santhanam suggested that this character needed special makeup, similar to Kamal Haasan's look in 'Avvai Shanmugi', to make it convincing and entertaining.

He mentioned that the success of 'Avvai Shanmugi' was partly due to the effort put into makeup and character design. Similarly, he insisted on more focus for his role, but claims that his suggestions were not taken seriously by the director and producers. As a result, the film failed to impress audiences.

Santhanam added that he often senses whether a movie will work or not, sometimes even on the very first day of shooting. He admitted that while some films are taken up with high expectations, only the proper execution brings laughter and success on screen. If that’s missing, the film won’t work despite a good concept. Since he had already signed a contract and received an advance, he chose to complete the project professionally.
