Ever since the first look of actor Santahnam's next film 'Server Sundaram' was launched there were widespread rumors that this will be the remake of the 1964 classic with the same title starring late veteran actor Nagesh in lead role.

However the new film's director Anand Balki has clarified in a recent interview that only the title is common between the two films and this is an altogether new script.

Santhanam plays a five star hotel chef in the film and the film will also include portions of capturing the college life of catering course students. The lead actor of the film will undergo workshop as he will be required to cook and other jobs of a five star hotel staff.
