After the failure of Sakka Podu Podu Raja in 2017, Santhanam made a return to screens with the sequel to his horror comedy Dhillukku Dhuddu, Dhilluku Dhuddu 2 directed by Rambhala and produced by Santhanam himself under his Handmade films banner.

Following the success of Dhilluku Dhuddu 2, Santhanam is currently acting in A1 directed by debutant Johnson, and following this, he has signed a movie directed by Kannan. This action packed entertainer will begin shooting in July.

On the other hand, Santhanam and Yogi Babu have joined hands for a movie and buzz is that the movie has been titled as Dakalti. This movie is directed by debutant Vijay Anand, a former assistant of director Shankar, and has completed shooting already with the recent schedule in Mumbai. The official title announcement and first look of Dakalti is expected soon.
