Director Santosh Sivan, who has worked as the cinematographer in several blockbusters, including Vijay-ARM's Thuppakki and Mani Ratnam's Chekka Chivantha Vaanam, has announced his upcoming directional venture, which will reportedly be a mythological subject based on Lord Ayyappa.

Sree Gokulam Gopalan, who will be producing the movie, has stated that the multilingual project will be made in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Hindi. Commending Santosh Sivan's vast experience and knowledge on cinema, Gopalan claimed that the mythological film will portray a different take on Swami Ayyappan. He added that Baahubali actress Anushka Shetty and legendary music director A.R. Rahman are likely to hop on board for the project, the cast and crew of which are yet to be finalized.

With the pre-production work already underway, the first schedule of the film is expected to start in late August or early September.
