A young star added to Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan'

Mani Ratnam's dream project 'Ponniyin Selvan' is one of the big-budgeted films affected by the coronavirus pandemic. The first schedule of the epic historical was shot in the forests of Thailand with Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Jayaram and other stars participating, and the team planned for a second schedule when things came to a grinding halt. It is now not clear when the shooting will resume since many huge stars of Indian cinema are involved and their dates have to be adjusted.

Meanwhile it has no been revealed that child actress Sara Arjun has been added to the cast of 'Ponniyin Selvan' and will be portraying a very important character. Sara who made a huge impact with her debut movie 'Deiva Thirumagal' costarring Vikram was last seen in a heartwarming romantic character in 'Sillu Karupatti'.

'Ponniyin Selvan' produced by Lyca Productions with music score by A.R. Rahman has the ensemble cast of Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Vikram Prabhu, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Trisha, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Jayaram, Prabhu, Ashwin Kakkamanu, Sarathkumar and Lal.
