Sardar is a Tamil spy action thriller film written and directed by P. S. Mithran and produced by S. Lakshman Kumar under the brand of Prince Pictures. Karthi and Raashi Khanna are playing the lead in the film, along with Rajisha Vijayan, Chunky Panday, Laila, Murali Sharma, and Munishkanth.

G. V. Prakash Kumar is scoring the music for the film, replacing Yuvan Shankar Raja, who had been Mithran's regular composer to date, while George C. Williams handles the cinematography. Sardar has editing by Ruben and stunt choreography by Dhilip Subbarayan.

The film marks Bollywood actor Suyash Pandey's debut in Tamil cinema and actress Laila's comeback to the cinema after 16 years. The film is scheduled to release on the occasion of Diwali 2022, with an official announcement made on Karthi's birthday.
