The 'Sarkar' controversy had the team with loggerheads with the ruling ADMK government over the naming of Varalakshmi's character as Komalavalli ( the real name of Jayalalitha) and throwing to flames the freebies the former CM gave voters during the 2011 elections. Two men one dressed in blue and another in white released a video in which carrying knives and sickles they used abusive language to threaten the government and stated that they would kill for their idol.

Police have now gone on a search for the two men and have also circulated the phone numbers 044 - 23452348, 23452350 to call if anyone has information on the duo.
