Thalapathy Vijay's 'Sarkar' breaks all time BO records

Thalapathy Vijay's mass charisma has weathered mixed reviews to power 'Sarkar' to create all time box office records in Chennai. Earlier Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Kaala' collected a huge 1.76 crores to become the highest opening day grosser of all time. Now that record has been broken by a mile as 'Sarkar' has brought in excess of 2 Crores 30 lakhs in the capital city.

'Sarkar' has also done up to rupees 30 Crores in Tamil Nadu and has raked in excess of 50Crores worldwide which is the highest ever for a Tamil film. Directed by A.R.Murugadoss and produced by Sun Pictures the flick has Vijay and Keerthy Suresh as the lead pair while Yogi Babu, Varalakshmi Sarathkumar and Radha Ravi costar.
