Thalapathy Vijay's 'Sarkar' is rocking the box office taking the highest collections for a Tamil movie in Chennai and Tamil Nadu grossing 2.37 Crores and 35 Crores respectively. On day two being a working day the collection was again an impressive 2.32 Crores taking the total to 4.69 Cr. in Chennai. Similarly, in Tamil Nadu the collections have gone past 50 Crores from only two days. With another weekend approaching and crowds showing no signs of slowing down the political actioner is all set for a huge turnout.

'Sarkar' directed by A.R. Murugadoss and produced by Sun Pictures stars Vijay and Keerthy Suresh as the lead pair while A.R. Rahman scores the music, Girish Gangadharan handling the camera and A. Sreekhar Prasad the editing.
