Pa. Ranjith's latest period boxing drama 'Sarpatta Parambarai' which is streaming on Amazon Prime Video has received both critical acclaim as well as wide audience appreciation.  The towering performances of Arya, Dushara Vijayan, Anupama Kumar, "Dancing Rose" Shabeer Kallarakal, Pasupathy, John Kokken, Santhosh Pratap and Kalaiarasan are the talk of the town right now.

'Sarpatta Parambarai' deals with the fierce rivalry of two boxing teams "Sarpatta Parambarai" and "Idiyappa Parambarai" which actually existed during the 1970s.  The proof for this has now surfaced in the form of a comedy scene from a movie of that era.

In the film scene two women are seen fighting like cats and dogs and legendary comedian Nagesh comes in and does a mock commentary that the Sarpatta Parambarai and Idiyappa Parambarai boxing match is on. He also fixes the ticket price of ten paise to watch it sitting and five paise standing and then as things get too hot he escapes with his girlfriend.

Meme creators have made use of the video to good effect and Nagesh's version of 'Sarpatta Parambarai' is trending mad.  Do check out the fun video here and enjoy the movie on Amazon Prime Video if you have not watched it yet.
