Sarathkumar does the formalities to retain his post

Actor and the President of the Nadigar Sangam R. Sarathkumar file his nomination to contest to retain the post held by him for consecutive two terms, in the upcoming elections for the Sangam, to be held on October 18.
Sarathkumar filed his nomination in front of Justice Padmanabhan, who has been appointed by the Madras High Court to conduct the elections in a fair manner. Sarathkumar's supporters and probable candidates for the other posts were present with him.
Nasser the presidential candidate of the rebel group of actors also filed his nomination yesterday. They are expected to announce their candidates for other key posts after the meeting to be held this evening in a wedding hall in Chennai.
The list of candidates representing Sarathkumar's team is also expected to be out in a day or two.
The elections will be held on October 18 in a popular school at Mylapore.
