Director and actor Sasikumar had made a cameo appearance earlier this year in the Superstar Rajnikanth starrer Petta directed by Karthik Subbaraj and following the success of the movie, is currently starring in numerous movies like Kombu Vatcha Singamda, Kennedy Club etc.

The actor had been signed to play the lead role in a movie directed by debutant Kathirvelu who had earlier assisted Sundar C and this movie was launched before a month. Now it has been revealed that this movie produced by TD Raja has been titled as Rajavamsam.

Rajavamsam is touted to be a family entertainer and will have Nikki Galrani paired with Sasikumar, and also has 49 other artists including Radharavi, Thambi Ramaiah, Vijaykumar, Sathish, Yogi Babu and many others. Rajavamsam has music by Sam CS and is being shot in Chennai and Pollachi.
