Grand plans for Isaigniani Illayaraja's 1000th film

Director Bala's Thaarai Thappattai' carries great significance in the history of Tamil cinema as it is the 1000th film of Isaigniani Illayaraja. The team has planned to have the audio release function on a very grand scale to be held on the 17th of December to celebrate the Maestero's huge milestone.

Thaarai Thappattai' depicts the tale of Karagattam dancers and has Sasikumar and Varalakshmi Sarathkumar in the lead roles with Sasikumar and Bala jointly producing. The film is slated for release on Pongal 2016.
