Sathyan Anthikad praises Meera Jasmine for her histrionic talents

Sathyan Anthikadu is the much adored director of Malayalee families. His film is full of little joys and heart touching emotions of life, and also is remembered for satires.

Occasionally he writes about his observations and experiences in life and shooting locations. It is widely read by all.

Recently the director spoke about actress Meera Jasmine who is known for poignant acting all over South India. He recounted the incident that happened in the sets of Achuvinte Amma' which was a hit movie of 2005. Meera Jasmine and Urvashi handled the lead roles. There was a dramatic emotional scene in the film. Before canning that, the actress asked Sathyan for 15 minutes break. The director asked the reason and she replied that she need to drain her emotions by crying, only then she would be fresh to deliver the scene. The director gave her the time, and she started crying sitting in the corner of the sets. After that she came back and gave out a stunning performance in one take.

The director feels that the actress is not utilized to her full potential. She is immensely talented and Mollywood needs to use her more says the director.
