Real Reason Why Sathyaraj refused to play 'Vijay 59' Villain

  • IndiaGlitz, [Tuesday,August 11 2015]

It is a known fact that Sathyaraj is a self confessed fan of Vijay and has reasserted this in almost every stage he has taken with the Illayathalapathy. Vijay too is a big fan of Sathyaraj and they both showed excellent chemistry while working in Nanban' and Thalaivaa'. Director Atlee too gave a very good character for the veteran actor in his Raja Rani'.

Atlee had approached Sathyaraj to portray a powerful villain in Vijay 59' and Sathyaraj refused it not because he didn't want to play Vijay's villain, but the real reason as it turns out is Baahubali 2'. Yes Sathyaraj who plays the all important Kattappa has allotted bulk dates of more than 100 days to director S.S. Rajamouli, the shooting of which commences from the 15th of September and due to the clash of dates Sathyaraj could not give the call sheets for his good friend Vijay and one of his favorite directors Atlee.
