Saudi Arabia's first male robot, Muhammad, made waves after a video release on social media showed "illegal" behavior with a female reporter at the launching event.

In a video shared by Megh Updates, Muhammad is seen extending his hands towards the female reporter, and news of the same went viral on social media. The incident took place while Muhammad was making his debut appearance at DeepFest in Riyadh on March 4th and was published soon after on X by Megh Updates. Megh Updates published this on X on Twitter. The video quickly fetched 8 lakh views when netizens poured in to say that the robot'molested' the said reporter, who was also on an interview with the same machine.

Under the social media posts, some have commented that the robot is a womanizer, and others have commented that the robot might be having some malfunctioning problems or even that being controlled by technicians might be a problem on its own.

"I think it's just not working right now," said one user, while another said perhaps the "backend developers need more time to heal" in fixing "moments of downtime."

Developed by QSS Systems as a national project to showcase Saudi Arabia's advancement in artificial intelligence, Mohammed describes himself as "the first Saudi robot in the form of a man" as he himself steps onto the main stage at DeepFest. He is then described as the first "male-bilingual-manufactured-by-Saudis humanoid robot,", and there Muhammed was standing at its head.
