It has been announced by the central government that partial opening of schools will be allowed with a condition that it'll be on voluntary basis starting from September 21. This announcement comes more than five months after schools were shut post the coronavirus outbreak.
It has also been announced by the government as an additional point that this partial reopening of schools is applicable only for students belonging to Classes 9 and above.
The final decision however rests with the parents, whether to permit their children to go to school. As of now there's no news on the opening schools for younger students.
