Schools to function despite rains

The past few days Chennai, Thiruvallur and Kanchipuram have been receiving a lot of rains and due to this schools were announced closed mostly. Even yesterday night and this morning, regions in the city have been receiving heavy downpour.

Mylapore, Royapettah, Mandaveli, Koyembedu, Ramapuram, Virugambakkam, Valasaravakkam regions have been receiving consistent and steady rains.However, the government has announced that schools will function as usual in Chennai, Kanchipuram and Thiruvallur districts.

However, Thiruvallur's Ponneri Government college has been announced holiday with today's semester exams being postponed according to the college's principal.
