At the golden jubilee celebration of Press Club of Bengaluru at Gayathri Vihar Palace grounds on Saturday night, Karnataka chief minister read out what was printed on the invitation of the event. Press Club of Bengaluru should be a place for inspiration. Media persons need entertainment. It is not like any other club. The media sitting here discuss on various issues and that should be for the good of the society stated the chief minister.

Bengaluru Urban Development minister KJ George present on the occasion observed that the mistakes should be pin pointed but judgment should not come from the media. Judiciary is there to look after it he mentioned.

Prior to the formal inauguration the portraits of Y Netakallappa and TS Ramachandra Rao founding fathers of Press Club of Bengaluru were offered flower petals.

The new logo of Press Club of Bengaluru for 50 years was unveiled by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Bengaluru Press Club President in his address explained the need of a separate plot and building for PCB. Kiran Kumar general secretary welcomed the gathering.
