Less than three days after news of a five-year-old being sexually assaulted at her school came to light, a security guard at a private school in Bengaluru has been arrested for sexually assaulting a four-year-old girl, daughter of a cashier with a security firm.

The girl was unwell and had vomited, following which her teacher helped her clean up. The girl went to the toilet with her friends where she was sexually assaulted by the guard, who touched her private parts. The girl`s parents took her to MS Ramaiah Hospital, where the doctors confirmed that she had been sexually assaulted. The assailant, a 25-year-old security guard, has been arrested under the Protection of Children Against Sexual Offences (POCSO) and is currently being questioned. The girl`s parents and some others gathered to protest outside the school, but were soon dispersed by police.
