Not all music albums are special. But Seedan is one, since it is the 50th film of Dheena. The music composer, director Subramaniam Siva and Dhanush came together before for `Thiruda Thirudi' and the number `Manmadharasa.' went on to become a craze among youngsters.

Now the trio has come together for `Seedan'. More an album with a mix of peppy and soft numbers, `Seedan' has some big names crooning the songs like Shankar Mahadevan, Kavitha Krishnamurthy, Shreya Ghosal and Hariharan.

The lyrics by Pa Vijay and Yugabharathy fit the tunes very well. Subramaniam Siva has the knack of getting good songs in his films. He doesn't disappoint music lovers this time too, getting the best from Dheena.

Check out how the songs are:

1.  Munpari

Singer: Shreya Ghosal

Shreya Ghosal is one rare voice who impressed one and all with her cool rendition touching high and lower octaves with consummate ease. With a clear diction, she has rendered this song tuned by Dheena in her typical style. Soft-throated and simple tune, the song works out wonders on listeners. Lyrics by Pa Vijay deserves a special mention.

2. Valliyamma

Singers: Shankar Mahadevan and Chinna Ponnu

The song to watch out for in the album. Three Cheers to Shankar Mahadevan for rendering it with right gusto. Dheena has gone full throttle and the song is sure to climb the charts. Kudos to Pa Vijay again. He has penned the song with catchy lines that stick to our heart in just one listening. Dheena has ensured that the pace doesn't drop down anywhere.

3. Enadhu

Singers: Prasanna and Janaki Iyer

The song penned by Yugabharathy has young guns Prasanna and Janaki Iyer. Dheena's orchestration deserves a special mention. The highlight of the number is the catchy interludes. Dheena has ensured that the music doesn't dominate the lyrics anywhere. Would be a real treat if watched on screen with visuals.

4. Saravana Samayal

Singers: Hariharan and Dhanush

This Pa Vijay's number, apparently the intro song of Dhanush, is perhaps the pick of the album. Dhanush who plays a special role in this movie has crooned the number along with Hariharan. More a song that dwells on food, the tune has mass appeal. Dheena has used instruments that provides a different feel to the listener. Sure to make it among Dhanush fans, the song has right energy all through. Dheena's orchestration is the highlight.

5. Yadhumagiyae

Singers: Shankar Mahadeva and Kavitha Krishnamurthy Subramaniam

It's no typical Dheena stuff. He has chosen to cautiously deviate from his typical style to render a different tune. The mellifluous number by Shankar Mahadevan and Kavitha Krishnamurthy is pleasant to hear to. More a charming one with interesting interludes and soft preludes, the number is a delight for those who love different music.

On the whole, `Seedan' is a cool and catchy album by Dheena.
