Dhanush is one of the busiest stars in the country who is awaiting the release of 'Jagame Thandhiram' and has 'Karnan' directed by Maari Selvaraj and the Hindi movie 'Atrangi Re' costarring Akshay Kumar on the floors. He will also be shooting for 'D43' directed by Karthik Naren post lockdown.

We broke the news first to you that Dhanush has planned to revive his dream project 'Naan Rudran' (tentative title) which is also his second directorial venture. He had shot half of the film starring Nagarjuna, Aditi Rao Hydari, Srikanth, S.J. Suryah, Anu Emmanuel and Sarathkumar.

It is said that the story has a period portion that happens six hundred years back with the same cast and that will be shot in the next schedule. Now the buzz in Kollywood is that Dhanush has decided to request Selvaraghavan to direct the period portion due to his expertise in making 'Aayirathil Oruvan'. Sources add that the elder brother is keen to lend a helping hand to his younger sibling.

If this plan comes to fruition then 'Naan Rudran' will make history as the first film directed by the most talented brothers of Kollywood Selvaraghavan and Dhanush. Stay tuned for more on this one and the official word.

Selva is also working on a new script for Dhanush which could be 'Pudhupettai 2' which is also expected to go on floors as soon as the pandemic ends.
