Director Selvaraghavan returns to films 6 years post his fantasy entertainer Irandaam Ulagam, with the political entertainer NGK starring Suriya, Sai Pallavi, Rakul Preet Singh, and the movie which has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja is produced by SR Prabhu's Dream Warrior Pictures.

With the movie set to release worldwide on May 31 in Tamil and Telugu, the team is promoting the movie, and in a recent media interview, Sai Pallavi had revealed her experiences of working in NGK. She said that Selvaraghavan had told her to enter the sets with the feeling that its a temple, and that within few days she understood how to learn from Selva's school.

"Usually we used to get the dialogues in prior and learn them and come to the sets with homework, but only when we come to the sets and follow his instructions only it will come perfect. I was thinking acting is easy, until one day when I was not able to perform as he expected and he said we'll see tomorrow, and I cried the whole day telling to my mother that I'll quit acting and be a doctor. The next day, the shot was okay in a single take, and when I asked Selva if my mother spoke to him, and he said he got the performance he wanted. Later Suriya said that he too undergoes a lot of takes and that was consoling" said Sai Pallavi.
