Senior film journalist and PRO Major Dasan passed away due to a cardiac arrest arising from a brain stroke he suffered a few days back. He was admitted at a hospital in Tambaram and was undergoing treatment but this morning the end came.

Major Dasan was a positive personality and a mentor for several film journalists and PROs apart from maintaining close friendship with almost all the stars of Kollywood. The Tamil Movie Journalists Association has consoled the death stating that it is a major loss to the fraternity.
