Sequels that are much awaited

Some films remain as classics and remaking them wouldn’t be a good idea. But how about

sequels for them ? Though many of the sequels didn’t end up successful in Telugu, here are some of the films, for which

audiences expect sequels and they are much awaited.

Jagadheka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari

Chiranjeevi’s ‘Jagadheka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari’ created mass hysteria and it is well

known, how big a hit the film was. Producer Ashwini Dutt even planned a sequel for the film with Ram Charan playing the

son of Chiranjeevi and Sridevi. But the film didn’t materialize till now. It would be good to see how a sequel for this

movie would be.

Aditya 369

‘Aditya 369’ is the first science fiction in Telugu and the first time travel film in

India. The audiences were wonderstruck watching the film and it was a sensational hit. Singeetham Srinivasa Rao and

Balakrishna should be praised for introducing a very new genre to Indian screen. The veteran director is also getting

ready to do a sequel for this film, which is titled as ‘Aditya 999’. This sequel is much awaited.

Bobbili Raja

‘Bobbili Raja’, starring Venkatesh and Divya Bharathi was one of the biggest hits in the

career of Venky and his fans would love to watch a sequel for this movie with Rana Daggubati in the lead. We will have

to wait and see if the film materializes.

Hello Brother

‘Hello Brother’ is regarded as one of the finest works of Late E.V.V.Satyanarayana and

Nagarjuna gave one of his career best performances. This action comedy was highly successful and made the audiences go

gaga over. Naga Chaitanya earlier wanted to remake this film, but gave up the idea later. But a sequel for this film is

awaited.

Assembly Rowdy

‘Assembly Rowdy’ is one of the biggest hits in the career of Mohan Babu. It was

speculated that Manchu Vishnu will do a sequel for this movie. But it didn’t happen.

Pokiri

Though Mahesh Babu had hits early in his career, it was with ‘Pokiri’ his popularity

increased leaps and bounds. He joined the league of big heroes in Tollywood with this movie. Puri Jagannadh and Mahesh

wanted to make a sequel for this film. Hope they make it soon.

Gabbar Singh 2 – Sardaar Gabbar Singh

The shooting of this film is already in progress and the fans of Pawan Kalyan are eagerly

waiting for this sequel. ‘Gabbar Singh’ was a big comeback movie for the Powerstar and he bounced back strongly with

this film. Since then, his popularity increased leaps and bounds.

Adhurs

NTR Jr proved how good an actor he is once again with the movie ‘Adhurs’. The way he has

shown variations in the roles of Narasimha and Chari is really praiseworthy. V.V.Vinayak already announced a sequel for

this film and fans are waiting for it.

Magadheera

How about a sequel for ‘Magadheera’, the film that made Ram Charan a big star overnight ?

Though the sequel may not happen in the near future, it would be a sensational news if Rajamouli or Charan announces a

sequel for this movie.

Idiot

Ravi Teja and Puri Jagannadh earlier announced sequel for their blockbuster film ‘Idiot’.

The Mass Maharaj recently revealed his wish to do the film. But it would be interesting to see if the successful

combination once again comes together for a super hit.

Race Gurram

Surender Reddy recently announced that he will soon work on the script of ‘Race Gurram

2′, which is going to be the sequel for his super hit film with Allu Arjun, ‘Race Gurram’. We will have to wait and see

when this film materializes.

Baahubali

Last but not the least. Audiences are eagerly waiting for the continuation part of

‘Baahubali- The Beginning’, which is titled as ‘Baahubali – The Conclusion’. They can’t wait to see why Katappa killed

Baahubali…
