'Shaakuntalam': 'Mallika Mallika' is sublime and atmospheric

The video song version of 'Mallika Mallika' from 'Shaakuntalam' is a winner. Shot on Samantha Ruth Prabhu, her on-screen friends (played by Ananya Nagalla and Aditi Balan) and a group of dancers, the song is rendered by Ramya Behara. Composer Mani Sharma and lyricist Chaitanya Prasad create and old-worldly charm, while the dance choreography is elegant.
The film, directed by Gunasekhar, will be hitting the screens on April 14 in 2D and 3D.
At a recent press meet, presenter Dil Raju said that the film was upgraded to 3D after a decision was taken in October last year. When I watched the movie, I felt that the forest, the animals and the Nature-related settings are best experienced in 3D. 'Avatar 2' was released in theatres in mid-December. It is running in theatres in Hyderabad even in March. There is always a loyal family audience for movies that can attract children, Dil Raju said.
The film is produced by Neelima Guna. Mohan Babu is playing an angry Rishi, while Allu Arha as Bharatha will also be seen for 15 minutes.
