Shahid Kapoor who is all geared up for his next film 'Rangoon', has been in the prep mode recently and has been learning Japanese. 'Rangoon' which is directed by Vishal Bhardwaj, is set against the backdrop of World War II and will feature Shahid playing the role of an Indian Army officer in this.

Our source revealed that Shahid is spending a lot of time learning Japanese. It is known to be one of the most difficult languages, but Shahid is working hard. As the film is set in the early era, 50 Japanese artistes have been flown down to India to add authenticity to the project. To further add a realistic touch, the actor, hence, has been taking Japanese lessons.

Since Shahid is known to get into the skin of his characters, he is leaving no stone unturned for this role as well. The actor has hired a tutor for the same. The tutor is present on the sets to help Shahid with his scenes. He has been teaching him the finer nuances of the language.

Vishal Bhardwaj's 'Rangoon', which is produced by filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala also features Saif Ali Khan and Kangana Ranaut.
