Shahid Kapoor: Rajkumar Santoshi is fantastic director

Shahid Kapoor couldnÂt be more excited as his upcoming comedy, Ramesh TauraniÂs ÂPhata Poster Nikhla Hero directed by Rajkumar Santoshi is scheduled to release at the end of the month.
Talking about his role in the film Shahid said, I play a simple Maharashtrian boy who since childhood has been dreaming that heÂll become a hero one day and huge posters with his face on them will be all over the city. He makes these filmy entries, jumps out of posters, delivers cheesy lines but his agenda is not to fight because he might hurt his face in the process - something he cannot afford since he wants to be an actor.
Ask the actor why he decided to take on a film, that will see him in his over-the-top best in signature Rajkumar Santoshi style, he added, When I started doing live shows a few years ago, people liked my spontaneity on stage. Friends started to say that they havenÂt seen this side of me and I should try it on the big screen if I enjoy it so much. ThatÂs how Phata Poster Nikhla Hero happened. The actor, who has teamed up with the filmmaker for the first time, also said that Rajkumar Santoshi is a fantastic director.
Also starring Ileana D'Cruz in lead, ÂPhata Poster Nikhla Hero is scheduled to hit screens on 20th September 2013.
