After IPL, Shahrukh Khan invests in international cricket league!

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan who owns the Indian Premier League franchise Kolkata Knight Riders have now acquired a Los Angeles-based cricket franchise in an upcoming cricket league that will be played in the US.

This upcoming cricket league will have six teams based in New York, San Francisco, Washington DC, Chicago, Dallas, and Los Angeles. Shah Rukh’s team will be called LA Knight Riders, much similar to Kolkata knight riders, and Trinbago Knight Riders.

Shah Rukh is a part-owner of this American T20 league’s organizers American Cricket Enterprise, who got the rights to conduct the tournament from USA Cricket, an affiliate of ICC. It has been said that no team from the Indian Premier League can be part of the American League for five years. This tournament will begin in the summer of 2022, after the IPL.
