Shaji Kailas - Suresh Gopi solar scam movie shelved

There is a buzz that Shaji Kailas's upcoming movie 'The State' starring Suresh Gopi in the lead has been shelved. The shooting was on at Thiruvananthapuram for almost two weeks. The movie was all about the political situation in Kerala. Solar scam and its investigations are the movie's highlight.

Suresh Gopi's role was that of an investigative officer who tries to unearth the scam. Saritha Nair was supposed to play herself in the movie. However, the movie has reportedly been dropped because Saji Kailas has found the political climate unfavorable for the movie. Also, Suresh Gopi is looking to build a political career is unsure about the kind of images the movie would bring him.
