Shakthi to wed Oct 31

Actor Shakthi, son of veteran director P Vasu, will tie the knot with Chennai-based Smrithi, a B Com graduate, on October 31. The wedding date was fixed at an engagement ceremony on Monday.
The betrothal function at a star hotel in Chennai was attended by Prabhu, Sathyaraj, Vijayakumar, Manjula, Sibiraj and Karthi among others. It is an arranged marriage finalised by elders in both the families, sources say.
The wedding will take place in a grand manner on October 31 at Mayor Ramanathan Chettiar Hall at MRC Nagar in Chennai, in which top guns from Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada film industries will take part.
Shakthi, who made his acting debut with 'Thottal Poo Malarum', is currently busy with 'Edho Seigirai Ennai' and 'Vanjikottai Vaaliban', while his father Vasu is directing RK for 'Puli Vesham'.
