In the war of words between Indian speedster Mohammed Shami, who has been facing an embarrassing week full of all sorts of allegations made against him by his estranged wife Hasin Jahan, the latest rounds goes to Shami who has said that Hasin wasn’t somebody with integrity. “She hid her first marriage from me completely when we married in 2014,” he said.

Hasin said Shami’s family members tortured her in the wee hours (sometimes till 03:00 a.m.), accused Shami of physical and verbal abuse, said Shami’s brother raped her repeatedly at Shami’s behest and even accused the cricketer of having ‘multiple’ girlfriends on social networking sites. She added that Shami was also in the habit of ‘fixing’ matches for which he received money from an agent through a Pakistani woman.

She also registered complaints against Shami at Jadhavpur Police Station in Kolkata. In the meantime, Shami has taken Hasin on by stating that she hid her first marriage from him when they married in 2014. “She was already married with two daughters; however, she hid her first marriage from me and introduced her own daughters to me as her sister’s daughters,” he said.

“It was only after a few months after the marriage that it came to light that Hasin was married and was a mother of two daughters,” Shami said and said Hasin had lost her ‘mental balance’. “I still want to patch up with her and put a full-stop to all sorts of nonsenses that she has been making; I’m also worried about my daughter’s future,” Shami told newsmen.
