Director Shankar has been tirelessly working on his upcoming mega budget sci-fi flick '2.0' the sequel to his 2010 blockbuster 'Enthiran'. The film's lead actor Superstar Rajinikanth took a break in June for health related reasons and is yet to resume shoot. However the master director has been busy canning the scenes that do not involve the lead actors in Chennai for the past several weeks.

Recently the team shot a car blast sequence in Saligramam, Chennai. Shankar has been shooting in this location for the past one week with the film's cinematographer Nirav Shah, a few stuntmen.

Yesterday (August 21) the scene of a luxury car blasting and getting gutted in fire was shot. Real explosives were used to shoot the blast scene with a realistic touch. When the shot was completed the entire location was reportedly engulfed with smoke and the high decibel sound shocked the nearby residents. The alleged noise and pollution turned to be a cause of concern for them.

Shankar and the team were happy with the way the scene has come out.

'2.0' stars Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar in lead roles. The film is being produced on a huge budget by Lyca Productions banner.
