Shankar's next: Suriya or Vikram?

The current hot topic in Kollywood is a debate on who would be the protagonist of Shankar's forthcoming film? While some say it would be Vikram, there are others who strongly say Suriya would play the lead role in the director's next project.
Suriya was the first choice for Nanban. However, the actor could not do the role due to some unavoidable reasons. Shankar and Suriya met recently and they discussed about coming together for a fresh project, say sources.
Meanwhile, rumour mills have it that Deepika Padukone would be the leading lady of the mega director's forthcoming film, no matter who the hero would be. She was thrilled about working with Shankar, add sources.
Another thing which is said to be confirmed is that the film would be produced by V Ravichandran of Aascar Films, who combined with Shankar earlier for 'Anniyan'. AR Rahman is touted to compose tunes.
